ILLUSTRATIVE SCENARIOS · NOT FORECASTS
10M assumed AI GPU packages at $40,000 NVIDIA revenue per package. 24× is independently selected, not fitted to the share price.
The assumptions do the work.
Chips. Revenue per chip. Profitability.
About 138,889 racks of 72 GPUs by count only. A scale comparison, not rack or data-center shipments.
10M × $40,000 → $400B NVIDIA revenue, before other businesses.
$45.8B R&D + SG&A → 60% operating margin
24.15B projected shares · $59.2B repurchase cash deducted
Chip volumes and average NVIDIA revenue are assumptions, not reported unit shipments or quoted bare-chip prices. Systems and attached networking are included once.
Count AI accelerator GPU packages, not internal dies, gaming GPUs or whole data centers. The revenue-per-chip assumption includes NVIDIA’s attached systems and networking contribution; the OEM’s entire rack bill is not NVIDIA revenue.

EV / annual after-tax operating profit at the target date, not P/E. Investment gains and interest income are outside NOPAT. Repurchases consume cash.
CHALLENGE THE ASSUMPTIONS
More chips, or a higher multiple?
USD per share in one year. Every other assumption stays fixed.
| AI GPU packages | 18× | 24× | 30× |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7.5M | $136.26 | $180.03 | $223.79 |

Local comparisons at 75%, selected and 125%, within the slider bounds. These are not probabilities. Other businesses and the cash bridge remain fixed.

REVERSE VALUATIONHow many AI chips does today’s price require?
Reference: $217.23 close on Oct 15, 2026 ↗. At 10% required annual equity return, the Oct 16, 2027 price requirement is $239.00. This is a dated snapshot, not a live quote.
Required AI chips sold
10.51MHold NVIDIA revenue per chip at $40,000, the multiple at 24×, and all other inputs fixed. Solve only GPU package volume, within 0–20M.
solved: Mathematical requirement under all other held inputs; not a forecast or an observed trading multiple.Required valuation multiple
25.1×Hold chip count, revenue per chip, other businesses, margins and capital assumptions fixed. Solve only EV/NOPAT, within 0–100×.
solved: Mathematical requirement under all other held inputs; not a forecast or an observed trading multiple.Neither solution is applied automatically. This does not identify a unique set of market expectations or measured market shipments. Your cash-generation assumption stays fixed.

What supports the valuation multiple?
A secondary cash-flow benchmark at Oct 16, 2027, using only cash flows after that date.
12% NOPAT growth for 10 years at 40% returns on new capital requires 30% reinvestment. Thereafter: 3% stable growth and 20% capital returns. Discount operating cash flows at 9.5% WACC. These are judgments, not measured NVIDIA ROIC or WACC.
An internal consistency check, not proof of fair value or a full one-year cash-flow forecast. It does not change your multiple. Cash accumulated before the target date is not counted again here.
Other businesses, capital assumptions & methodology
One year means a dated, reproducible scenario
Snapshot date: Oct 16, 2026. Target: Oct 16, 2027. Chip sales and operating results cover Oct 17, 2026 through Oct 16, 2027, the 12 months ending at the target. These are not NVIDIA fiscal-year figures. Shared links freeze these dates; reopening an old link does not silently move its valuation horizon.
A physical volume assumption, with explicit revenue allocation
One chip means one Data Center accelerator GPU package across the assumed product mix, not each internal die. Chip count × blended NVIDIA revenue per GPU creates bundle revenue. The average includes attached NVIDIA CPUs, systems and networking allocated to that GPU, not the whole OEM rack price. Standalone revenue excluded from this bundle is added separately; no product is counted twice. No reported shipment baseline or observed chip ASP is claimed.
NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 has 72 GPUs ↗. Dividing assumed chip units by 72 gives a package-count scale comparison. It is not a rack shipment forecast, a performance equivalence or a count of data centers. Buildings vary greatly in capacity and configuration.
Presets are independently chosen
Bear / Base / Bull use 7M / 10M / 13M GPU packages, with $35,000 / $40,000 / $45,000 NVIDIA revenue per GPU bundle. Other Data Center revenue is $20B / $25B / $35B; Edge is $28B / $33B / $40B. Gross margins are 60% / 70% / 74%, expense ratios 14% / 10% / 9%, and multiples 14× / 24× / 30×. These are illustrative assumptions, not issuer guidance, consensus or a reverse fit to the quote. The same assumptions are used on the page and card.
Capital structure also uses the shorter horizon
Start from 24.147B actual shares and the balance sheet dated July 26, 2026. Issuance and net share change compound only through Oct 16, 2027. Required repurchases equal issuance-adjusted shares minus target shares, floored at zero, at the assumed execution price. Their cash cost is deducted once. The EPS award increment is not added again. Additional issuance above the issuance assumption receives no invented cash proceeds.
Cash generation is cumulative from that reported balance sheet through the target date, before buybacks and after reinvestment, dividends, award withholding and other obligations. It is net of debt changes and is independent of the earnings sliders. Bear / Base / Bull assume $35B / $90B / $145B, replacing the old multi-year cash assumptions. Negative net cash implies financing whose effect on future risk and interest is not dynamically modeled.
GAAP-style operating margins retain stock compensation. Taxes apply to positive operating profit only. Public and private equity assets enter once after a haircut; their gains are excluded from NOPAT. Lease expense stays in margins; lease liabilities are not deducted again. Supply commitments and guarantee caps are not automatically debt; a scenario claim reserve is editable. Interim dividends are omitted from shareholder returns, so this is not total shareholder return.
